Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, Erdvilas grew up in a creative family and was inspired by his grandfather's career as a renowned documentary filmmaker. Erdvilas started making his first shorts early through summer film and photography workshops, then joined European MEDIA programs like People & Places in the Netherlands and youth festivals such as Camera Zizanio in Greece, where his work received awards. As a teenager, he studied at Skalvija Film Academy in Vilnius, later moving to London to study Film Production at the University of West London. He refined his craft in international workshops like
Nordbaltic Incubator and Summer Media Studio, earning Best Cinematography, Best Film, and Best Editing awards, and recently participated in the Straight 8 Shootout competition during Cannes Lions in 2024 and 2025. Erdvilas is a member of AVAKA and BFI, annually visits film festivals, and continues to learn and advance in the art and craft of Cinematography.

Starting his professional career at Jungle Creations and Imperial College London as a videographer, he later freelanced, learning set craft from the ground up as a camera trainee and assistant. Climbing the camera department ranks on commercials, features, and high-profile television, including cult Netflix shows like Stranger Things or The Crown, while developing his own narrative and commercial work as DoP.

A constant experimenter, he moves between 16 mm, Super 8, and bold digital workflows, shaping a confident, dynamic camera style and a fast, friendly set culture.
